Maps (page 5) Michelin maps has changed its coverage
of Spain. Maps #442 and #441 are no longer available. They have been replaced
by #573 (1:250,000, Basque & Navarra), #575 (1:400,000; Madrid), and
#571 (1:400,000; Galicia).
Getting There & Back (page 28) Ryan Air now fly to Santiago from London Stansted.
Health & Safety (page 33) The E111 form has been replaced by the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), available from the UK Department of Health (www.dh.gov.uk/travellers).
St-Jean-Pied-de-Port (page 42) A new albergue,
L'Esprit du Chemin, opened in St-Jean-Pied-de-Port in July 2003,
opposite the Pilgrims Information Centre at 39 rue de la Citadelle. L'Esprit
du Chemin is open from April 1 to the end of September. It has 18
beds, no kitchen but offers a good, reasonably priced menú del
peregrino each night
Zubiri (page 51) A new 16-bed private albergue
has opened at Zubiri. It costs 9 euros a night. For more information,
see www.alberguezaldiko.com.
Pamplona (page 61) Albergues in Pamplona seem to be a little more permanent than a few years ago. The most reliable is in the Convento Adoratrices on Calle Dos de Mayo 4 (94 beds, open April to October). There's also an albergue in the Iglesia de San Saturnino on Calle Florencio Ansoleaga (20 beds, kitchen, open April to October).
Uterga (page 63) The private Albergue Camino del Perdón has 18 dormitory beds for €10 as well as some double rooms. It's open year-round.
Obanos (page 65) The albergue has 36 beds, a basic kitchen, and is open May to September.
Cirauqui (page 67) Albergue Maralotx has 28 beds and is open all year. The albergue also has a couple of private rooms.
Lorca (page 68) Lorca's albergue has 14 beds and is open from April to October.
Villatuerta (page 68) Villatuerta has a sporadically open albergue, with 30 beds.

Villamayor de Monjardín (page 71) There's now a basic albergue parroquial (20 mattresses, open all year) in Villamayor.
Sansol (page 74) Sansol's albergue has 10 beds and a kitchen.
Villamayor del Río (page 87) The private albergue has 52 beds and is open all year.
Tosantos (page 89) The albergue has 40 beds and is open from April to October.
Agés (page 93) There are two albergues in the tiny village: El Pajar de Agés (42 beds, kitchen, open all year) and Albergue San Rafael (36 beds, open all year).
Burgos (page 103) There are two new albergues: El Parral on Calle Lain Calvo 10 (18 beds, open all year), and Albergue de Burgos on Calle Mateo Cerezo 9 (15 beds, open spring to autumn).
Hospital de Órbigo (page 126) There's a lovely new albergue, the Albergue San Miguel (40 beds, open all year), on the main street.
Foncebadón (page 138) Foncebadón is springing back to life with a new albergue (20 beds, open April to October) and the Hostal Foncebadón.
Trabadelo (page 148) There's a new, lovely albergue (28 beds, kitchen, open all year).
La Portela (page 148) You can stay in dormitories or private rooms at the Hostal El Peregrino.
Vega de Valcarce (page 148)
The Brazilian Friends of the Camino have just opened a new albergue
just before Vega de Valcarce, in the former Albergue Sarracin (46 beds, communal meals, open all year).
La Faba (page 149)
La Faba's albergue has 35 beds and is open April to October.
Laguna de Castilla (page 149)
There's no longer an albergue here.
Hospital da Condesa (page 152)
The albergue has 18 beds, a kitchen, open spring to autumn.
Alto do Poio (page 152)
The albergue has 50 beds and open all year.
Fonfría (page 153)
Fonfría's albergue has 38 beds and open all year.
Ventas de Narón (page 167)
The albergue in Ventas de Narón has 22 beds, a kitchen, and is open all year.
Ligonde (page 169)
The albergue in Ligonde has 20 beds, a kitchen and is open all year.
Portos (page 169)
The albergue in Ligonde has 20 beds, a kitchen and is open all year.
Santiago de Compostela (page 180)
Just before Santiago, there are a couple of private albergues: opposite the Capilla de San Lázaro (80 beds, open all year) and the Albergue Acuário (50 beds, open all year).
Vilaserio (page 186)
You can sleep on mattresses in the village school.
Corcubión (page 190)
Corcubión's new albergue is about 1km out of town. It has 20 beds, a kitchen and is open all year.
